Despite light showers in the East and the high clouds hovering over the island, this Tuesday morning is sunny. In the morning, like the previous days, a grayish blanket settles on the heights of the slopes of the leeward coast. They bring showers and sometimes slide towards the coast and the coastal road. Temperatures (33°C) do not drop.

The sun is once again very present from dawn, this Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Météo-France La Réunion does not forget: “The presence of harmless high clouds crossing the department”and the “a few drops on the eastern half at the start of the day”.
From the beginning of the afternoon, the clouds which have settled on the heights of the slopes darken: “A few seasonal showers are expected in the mountains, mainly in the West and the South, these rains then tend to reach the shore of the coastal road. Elsewhere, we enjoy an afternoon
pleasant by the sea despite the heat”specify the forecasters.
The easterly flow is relatively weak at the start of the day. It should accelerate slightly in the afternoon. Gusts of 50, even 55 km/h, are expected in the Wild South and possibly in Pointe-des-Galets. A regime of breezes reigns in the cirques, on the plains, the West and the South.
-Maximum temperatures remain above seasonal norms. An observation that has been repeated for weeks. The mercury will rise to 33°C along the coast, between Saint-Pierre and Le Port. Meteorologists predict, at the hottest of the day, 32 in Saint-Denis and 31 along the east coast, such as towards La Nouvelle. Thermometers also show high values at Maïdo (21°C) and Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob (22°C).
The sea is not very rough, except between Sainte-Rose and Saint-Joseph, where it will be slightly rough by a small south-southwest swell.
