Laurent Emmanuelli arrested in Haute-Corse and placed in pre-trial detention

According to our colleagues from France 3 Corse Via Stella, Laurent Emmanuelli was arrested this Saturday on RT 20, not far from Omessa in Haute-Corse, during a road check.

The latter was, however, the subject of judicial control prohibiting him from going to the island.

Aged 34, Laurent Emmanuelli is considered a figure in Corsican organized crime. He was the victim of an assassination attempt in 2019. He was placed in pre-trial detention at the Borgu remand center while waiting for the liberty and detention judge to study his case.
