Guendouzi’s new masterclass!

Since he packed his bags in Italy in the summer of 2023, Mattéo Guendouzi has surely said to himself that he has made the best choice of his career. If his first season in Serie A was mixed, notably with the passage of Igor Tudor on the bench of his team, he has displayed dazzling form since the start of the 2024-2025 financial year. Under the orders of Marco Baroni, who replaced the Croatian last summer, he has become an indisputable starter, already having 26 matches in all competitions.

Guendouzi delights

This weekend, he was obviously the starter for the trip to Hellas Verona. And he delighted with an assist during his team's 3-0 victory. In the columns ofThe Messenger, he received a score of 7.5/10, the best of his team tied with Zaccagni, the daily highlighting his “boss match”. A great performance which allows his team to consolidate its fourth place in the league to come back to just four points behind Atalanta Bergamo, who lost at home against leader Naples (3-2).
