An iconic class returns with new powers in Diablo IV

It's always a pleasure to see old friends again. Blizzard Entertainment confirmed the start of the seventh season of Diablo IV, scheduled for January 21, 2024. This new update will bring a series of exciting content and mechanics, in addition to allowing players to explore new horizons in the popular action RPG. This time around, one of the main draws is the return of the Witch Doctor, an iconic class from Diablo III, although its participation is, to be generous, limited.

Poisoning is continuous

The sorcerer, characterized by his skill in using poisons and plagues, will return with a collection of new themed powers inspired by his original skills. Blizzard has announced a total of 25 new powers that will be integrated into Diablo IV's gameplay, giving players the opportunity to experiment with mechanics reminiscent of this beloved character from the previous game.

In addition, among the most notable innovations of this season are the insertable gems in armor, which will give players 160 points of armor and 8% resistance to all elements. These gems can be obtained via the Whisper Treea system that was also present in Diablo IV's endgame content, which promises to further enrich the gaming experience.

Fans won't have to wait until January to try the new stuff, because Blizzard will allow players to access these new mechanics through the public testing program (PTR) on PC. As the release date approaches, interest in the seventh season continues to grow, leaving players eager to discover how these new elements will fit into the already dynamic world of Sanctuary.
