NÎMES Three injured by firearm this Wednesday evening, intervention in progress by the police and emergency services

The police have been intervening this Wednesday since 4:45 p.m. in the Saint-Césaire and Mas Roman neighborhoods in Nîmes. There were several calls to the emergency number on 17 for detonations which were heard in the area. According to our information, at the same time two young men from the same family who were in an apartment were shot. The emergency services provided medical care to the two victims without knowing at this stage the seriousness of the injuries. A little later in the evening, it was reported that a third, more seriously injured man had been taken directly to hospital by a family member. He would be more seriously affected. The investigation has barely begun. There have been no arrests at this time and the circumstances of this scene of violence remain to be clarified.

On site, the CRS who arrived in Nîmes the day before yesterday were tasked with patrolling the area. The first investigations take place in the presence of investigators from the Nîmes police station, but also with those from the Montpellier PJ. Firefighters and SMUR crews are also present.
