The President of the National Assembly, Malick Ndiaye, visited, on Friday, the Al Kountiyou family of Ndiassane (Thiès, West), a religious home of the Khadre brotherhood located 4 km from Tivaouane.
Accompanied by a delegation of parliamentarians, the President of the National Assembly was received by the spokesperson for the Al Kountiyou family, Khalifa Ababacar Kounta.
In Ndiassane, the President of the National Assembly Malick Ndiaye requested prayers for the success of the President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and members of the institution he heads, in their respective missions .
He also asked for prayers for Senegal, emphasizing at the same time the role of Ndiassane in the stability which characterizes the country on the world stage.
The former executive of Eramet Grande Côte, a company exploiting mineral sands in the Tivaouane department, noted that after a tough quest for power, the management of the current regime augurs “better tomorrow for Senegal”.
Khalifa Ababacar Kounta, on behalf of the Caliph Cheikh Sidy Moctar Kounta, thanked Malick Ndiaye for this visit deemed “historic”.
According to him, Malick Ndiaye knew this religious family before occupying the position of second personality of the State of Senegal.
He noted that the Caliph of Ndiassane Cheikh Sidy Moctar Kounta, considering him as his own son, brought together all the members of the family of the founder of Ndiassane Cheikh Bouh Kounta, to share with them this honor done to them.
Khalifa Ababacar Kounta also expressed prayers for Malick Ndiaye’s mission at the head of the national assembly during this 15th legislature to experience “total success”.
