Text: Philippe Lecoq – Like last year, the light show imagined and projected by the Allumeurs de Rêves teams, on the Fourvière basilica, is on show for the month of December.
A visual and sound spectacle projected onto the monumental facade of the basilica, its towers, and its chapel. Everyone who saw it remembers it. It's magnificent. Magic. Striking. Just beautiful.
And open to all audiences, as is the tradition of video mapping shows of the Festival Région des Lumières created and financed by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, with incredible popular success.
From December 26 to 31, the show returns every evening, in its original version at 18'.
Out of 200,000 visitors in 2023, 4,000 people with disabilities were able to register. Thanks to the “Universal Accessibility Bouquet” system, designed by the SWING le Lab innovation center, this year the show will once again be truly accessible to all, with dedicated parking, disabled reception, audio description, tactile model , vibrating floor, reserved viewpoint area, PRM path, etc.
For the record, the show pays tribute to women from Lyon, from Sainte-Blandine to the resistance fighters Elise Rivet and Daisy Georges-Martin, to virgins of the world welcomed in the crypt of Fourvière, such as Notre Dame de Czestochowa (Poland) or Notre Dame d 'Aparecida (Brazil)…With these portraits, female voices on the soundtrack, choirs, popular tunes and a capella singing…
Practical information
