Saturday December 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Kipik association, bringing together students from the European School of Art of Brittany (Eesab), Quimper site, transformed a room in their school, located at 8 , Esplanade François-Mitterrand, into an original Christmas market.
The event allowed visitors to discover and acquire creations made by the students: screen prints, ceramics, weavings, drawings, aquatints, necklaces and even printed t-shirts. A variety of objects, combining artisanal know-how and creativity, were offered for sale.
The funds collected are used in part to remunerate young creators, while supporting the activities of the Kipik association, in particular the organization of evenings and cultural events. “We had a lot of visitors in the morning,” rejoice the first year students, responsible for managing the exhibition.
This Christmas market was also an opportunity for the organizers to promote the Eesab's upcoming artistic events. Among them: “les Festins Brodés”, on January 25, on the theme of science fiction around a convivial meal, at the Alain-Gérard Media Library, as part of the Nights of Reading. And “Our memories of the future”, an exhibition planned for February, which will take over the media library gallery with original works created by students.
