Saint-Paul invests 258 million euros to build the future with confidence

The mayor of Saint-Paul, Emmanuel Séraphin, and the elected officials vote on an ambitious, prudent and serious initial budget (BP) amounting to 258 million euros, at the last municipal council of the year 2024 placed under the sign solidarity in favor of the Mahorais people. The Municipal Council shows all its compassion and solidarity with the people of Mahor, hard hit by Cyclone Chido. This disaster caused major destruction, claimed lives and left many families in disarray.

In order to show its support for our Mahorais sisters and brothers in this ordeal, the city of Saint-Paul voted to allocate financial aid of 25,000 euros to Mayotte in the form of a grant to the French Red Cross . The Municipal Council also validated the free provision of Parc Expobat for a solidarity concert organized on January 18 in partnership with the Réunion Region.

– Saint-Paul preserves the purchasing power of Saint-Paul residents by not increasing taxes –

“Despite the uncertain budgetary context linked to national political instability, the city of Saint-Paul is staying the course. That of a municipality which preserves the purchasing power of its citizens by not increasing taxes while continuing its strategic investments to build the future with confidence In 2025, local tax rates will remain unchanged”, reaffirms the mayor.

The initial budget of 258 million euros (an increase of 6.47% compared to 2024) reflects a clear, ambitious and serious course. With 55.9 million euros recorded in investments for 2025, Saint-Paul confirms its desire to support the local economy while building a sustainable, attractive territory that meets the aspirations of its inhabitants.

Since the start of the mandate, the City of Saint-Paul has driven unprecedented momentum, driven by an ambitious vision of territorial development. Never has a mandate committed so many resources to modernize, develop and secure Saint-Paul, while maintaining its commitment not to increase taxes.
