The Rural Coordination is attacking the Chamber of Agriculture, on the occasion of the elections which will take place in January 2025. Nadine Boyé, cereal producer in Fanjeaux, and Florian Bareil, cereal and seed producer in Lasbordes, are the heads list.
They have not yet revealed their program but they are already announcing the color. Nadine Boyé, head of the Rural Coordination list, followed by Florian Bareil, do not hide their ambitions to do better than the two elected officials obtained during the last election (with 19% of the votes, the Rural Coordination came in third position behind the union list FDSEA-winegrowers' union-Young farmers and its 56% and the Peasant Confederation 24%). “We want the Chamber of Agriculture to serve farmers, to help them set up, to make them profitable and to facilitate transmission”indicates Nadine Boyé, who is joining a list for the first time.
“Every time a young farmer has a project, like ground photovoltaics, we tell him no. But we realized that for some, our friends, on the other hand we said yes. We are fed up with this cronyism “says Florian Bareil. And to castigate the results of the previous mandate “with a workforce of 130 employees constantly increasing, a deficit of more than €300,000 on a budget of more than €9 million, property taxes which will increase”. They offer to take €0 compensation. “We will be entirely voluntary.” Another strong marker, the dissolution of the French biodiversity office.
Jean-Philippe Rives, history of rural coordination in Aude, will represent the retirees. With an anomaly to be corrected according to them: “Why do retired operators only receive €930 while employees receive €1,810?”
This list supported by Rural Coordination is as representative as possible, “with men, women, wine growers, breeders, cereal growers, beekeepers”specifies Nadine Boyé. Above all it is “from a list with unionized Rural Coordination members and non-unionized members who are simply fed up with the takeover of institutions and the massive decline of agriculture”.
