Zapping Fifteen World 6 Nations Calendar 2024

This Friday evening, CA Brive hosted SU in a contested match in a light rain and it was the Corréziens, carried by an inspired Bosch and an effective conquest who logically won against the courageous but too undisciplined Agenais. The locals struck first in the 5th minute thanks to a try from Chauvac, finishing after a well-structured maul following a touch from 5 meters away. Bosch converts to give an initial 7-0 advantage. Agen reacted quickly with Tolot, who flattened into a corner after a great collective sequence in the 19th minute (7-5). However, the Agenais missed a penalty a few moments later, letting the Corréziens regain control. Brive scores another try through Railevu (28th), a former Agenais player, bringing the score to 12-5.

Brive in total control at the end of the match

Despite several mistakes, the Agenais managed to respond thanks to Pourteau, author of several crucial penalties. In the 47th minute, Etcheverry scored a superb try at the end of the line after a laser pass from Searle, bringing his team to just two points (19-18). The Brivists, however, do not let themselves be overtaken. Brive takes off again in the second half. Bosch, omnipresent, scores an impressive individual try in the 42nd minute, before converting brilliantly. He also distinguished himself on the foot, scoring several long-distance penalties to maintain the gap (32-18 in the 67th minute). The Agenais tried to come back in the last quarter of an hour, but their lack of discipline cost them dearly. The Brivists took advantage of the penalties to string together dangerous hits and maintain the pressure to finally win 32-18 at home and temporarily come back to level with leader before the break.
