At the general meeting of the Les Coteaux du Légué neighborhood committee, this Wednesday, December 17, a small audience was there to listen to President Patrice Verdure give the moral assessment of the association. He first insisted on the fact that “the neighborhood, made up of six streets, is not easy to liven up. Despite this, the number of members increased from 18 to 31 in 2024.”
Traditional activities, greetings, neighbors’ celebrations were able to take place as well as the short film festival. Close meetings with elected officials as well as participation in neighborhood intercommittee meetings made it possible to discuss issues close to the hearts of residents. The participatory “urban hitchhiking” project, which should make up for the lack of public transport, was selected by the city and should be available this summer.
Difficult parking and neglected paths
As in many neighborhoods, the point of tension is parking. This is the case for the residents of the Brocéliande building, rue du Port-Favigo, who in the absence of a parking solution find themselves “in a situation of isolation”, according to a resident. Stéphane Favrais, elected locally, is “aware of the problem and awaits a development proposal from the trustee and the union council”.
Another subject which animated the meeting: the state of the paths which cross the district. Their closure or lack of maintenance has been criticized, even though “they are very useful for connecting neighborhoods”. Monique Lucas, deputy for permanent democracy and participatory budgets, recognized the “potential and recommended first a census to then assess the security issue and plan their uses”.
