Uncompromising jurors

And, the icing on the cake, it was at the international cheese and dairy products competition held in this Friday, November 29, that they obtained these medals awarded by uncompromising jurors. In all, nearly 300 categories of cheese and dairy products were tasted, or nearly 10,000 samples. The competition meets strict organizational rules, with optimal storage conditions, a classification of dairy products which takes into account numerous criteria (milk, maturing), a blind tasting, a rigorous selection of tasters, a grading grid out of 100.

A Jersey cow farm

At the Ferme des Cabrotins, there is a large range of goat's milk cheese as well as a breeding of Jersey cows which allows them to make a delicious raw milk cheese. On the meat side, they raise free-range pigs fed on whey. And since 2019, they have been offering direct sales on the farm and we can find their production in creameries using their know-how and skills to satisfy all desires. Why breed Jersey cows? “They produce milk of remarkable quality, ideally suited to the artisanal processing of cheeses, desserts and yogurts,” replies Aurélien, which surely contributed to obtaining a medal for their Camembert.
