Travel, family and financial security: the main life goals of the Swiss population

Reluctant attitude towards external support to achieve goals

The Swiss are rather reluctant to call on outside help to achieve their life goals. Nearly a quarter of those surveyed have never sought such support. With the exception of health and finance, many people consider it rather unlikely that they will seek outside help. Offers from banks and insurance companies are considered of little use when it comes to achieving life goals, although banks are considered useful in the financial area by more than half of those surveyed. Only a small part of the population (11%) considers insurance as an integral part of a life project and as a means of achieving objectives. “These figures clearly show that many Swiss people are not fully exploiting their potential in terms of financial planning.
