Exploits, total disillusionments, completely crazy scenarios… The Coupe de France version 2024-2025 once again delivers its share of emotions, while the 7e tour was marked by the entry into the running of Ligue 2 clubs. If some acquired an easy qualification (SM Caen, Bastia, Guingamp), others had more difficulty (Grenoble, Amiens) or have even already passed down the drain (Paris FC, Rodez, Ajaccio). The 8e round will be the last before the Ligue 1 teams enter the competition, during the 32es final, a goal that many amateur clubs set themselves, hoping to challenge PSG or OM. It will be held on Saturday November 30 and Sunday November 1is December.
Valence and Le Touquet, new little thumbs
There are now no more district clubs in the race. The little thumbs are now two Regional 3 teams (Valence FC and Le Touquet ACFCO), the eighth level of French football. The Drôme and Pas-de-Calais clubs both achieved exploits. The first took out Marignane (1-0, National 2) and will face FC Martigues, bottom of Ligue 2. The second notably eliminated (1-1, 4-1 tab) the Portuguese Porto Amiens (R1) and will receive the RC Calais by Claudio Beauvue.

The Ligeriens from US Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu (N3) will go to Saint-Denis, in Reunion. US Thionville Lusitanos (N2) will also go overseas, but does not yet know its opponent, since AS Matoury (R1) and the Aigles d'Or Mana (R2), in Guyana, will not play, their 7e tour, only Saturday, November 23 (3:45 p.m. local time).
The draw for 8e tour had been carried out at the same time as that of the 7e round. The 46 posters are therefore already known. Some matches will be broadcast on the local channels of France 3 and on FFFTV, the precise programming has not yet been detailed.
