Despite his notoriety, Jérémy Frérot has never left his roots. Very attached to the South-West, where he was born and raised, the former member of Fréro Delavega could not see himself leaving the Arcachon Basin. This Tuesday, November 26, while he was invited on the set of Bonjour ! to discuss his latest album Sand KidLaure Manaudou's ex explained why he was so attached to his region: “It's me and I feel good there. This is where I feel most comfortable and relaxed. It allows me to write songs.”
The singer cannot imagine his life without the ocean: “It’s a place where everything is governed by tide times. The pool empties and refills every six hours. Depending on that, we discover algae, sandbanks, animals and it changes our mood too”, explained Jérémy Frérot. “There is the pool and there is the ocean, there is both for you”, remarked Candice Mahout. “It's two different atmospheres. You can go by boat to the basin and go surfing”, underlined the one who is today aware of “(s)a chance.”

Jérémy Frérot, “a pure product of the Arcachon Basin”
In 2021, with our colleagues from France Bleu, Jérémy Frérot assumed to be “a pure product of the Arcachon Basin” : “The smells, the colors, I can't find them anywhere else”, confided the one who lives in Gujan-Mestras. A region in which the artist is also very invested, since in parallel with his career as a singer, he owns two restaurants. After Le Pestacle in 2020, he opened a second establishment called Gamin des Sables. A friendly place, open all day, where you can “enjoy tapas, pizzas but also seafood”, underlines Chérie FM . In 2023, to our colleagues at Atlantique TV, Jérémy Frérot warned: “There will be some entertainment. There's a way I could be blackmailed!” Something to delight customers (and fans of the artist)!
