In more than ten years, debt per capita has fallen in the Somme

The debate around the 2025 state budget is not a long, quiet river. The departmental councils are standing up to the approximately 2.2 billion euros in efforts requested of them by the government. For the president of the association of Departments of France, François Sauvadet, 85 territories could find themselves in a state of “near bankruptcy”. In more detail, last year the Somme had a per capita debt of around 377 euros. This is 68 euros less than in 2012. Finally, next year, the Department should contribute 13.7 million euros to the state budget.
