According to the regional daily, they are looking for drugs and money.
But the expedition takes an unexpected turn. The two young robbers come across two men aged 33 and 32, one of whom is from Guyana. These “two big guys” don't give up, says The Dispatch. Worse: they even turn the situation around and violently attack the two individuals.
According to stories reported by the local press, the burglars are tied up. One is beaten with a hammer and has boiling oil thrown on him. The other was stabbed in the hand and legs using a sharp object. Everything is filmed and broadcast live on social networks.
Alerted by the screams, neighbors called for help. According to France 3 Occitanie, the police arrested six individuals: the Guyanese and his friend, the injured robbers (taken directly to hospital) and two of their accomplices who were waiting in the car.
According to our information, three of the individuals were indicted after being presented to an investigating judge at the Toulouse judicial court on Friday November 15. The Guyanese, already convicted in a drug case in 2020, and his friend, originally from Latin America, are suspected of acts of torture and barbarity, aggravated violence and kidnapping.
Another man, a minor, is also indicted. He was one of those waiting outside. The two young robbers, who received 0 days of total incapacity for work for one, and two days for the other, were released for lack of evidence and are considered presumed victims in this case.
At the Guyanese's home, where the events took place, investigators also got their hands on nearly €30,000 in small denominations. Which suggests that Wednesday's events could be linked to drug trafficking. The three individuals indicted were placed in pre-trial detention.
