Overturned cars and a canyon transformed into a waterfall worthy of Niagara Falls. The floods that occurred in several Andalusian towns in the south of Spain offer a spectacle of desolation, two weeks after the disaster which devastated Valencia.

A spectacular curtain of water and mud in the middle of an artisanal area in Spain. In Balanegra, in Andalusia (Spain), the canyon overflowed after new floods, transforming into a waterfall before joining the canal. Impressive images were recorded and broadcast on Tuesday November 12.

The A7 motorway which overlooks it was flooded in several places. Traffic had to be stopped in the evening. A few kilometers further in Vícar, several motorists were surprised and their vehicles were swept away by the torrents of mud. Three people had to be rescued.

In El Parador, another affected Andalusian town, underground car parks were flooded. Residents complain of not having been given enough warning, although an alert for heavy rains has been issued for the entire Mediterranean coast. The alert is valid until Thursday, November 14, with concern for areas already affected.
