Hautes-Alpes. The donkey drivers of gathered in Buëch this weekend

The 64 members of the National Donkey and Hiking Federation (FNAR) will meet for their annual general meeting in Barret-sur-Méouge, from November 15 to 17. Every year, the FNAR donkey drivers meet in a different region to discover a new collective structure, strengthen their ties and share their experiences. This year, the Bamboul'Âne donkey in Éourres is hosting the event, offering participants an immersion in the exceptional setting of the Alpine mountains. The FNAR is committed to promoting this unique, environmentally friendly mode of hiking, which highlights preserved landscapes and promotes outdoor tourism.

The challenges of this assembly go beyond the exchanges: the discussions and workshops will make it possible to define the main orientations of the FNAR for the coming year, with the constant objective of raising awareness and appreciation of hiking with donkeys like an accessible and enriching experience for all.

The FNAR donkey drivers invite you all year round to explore the French regions of the interior, far from the beaten track, thanks to hikes accompanied by donkeys. Their credo? Respect for the donkey and love of nature, which they pass on to all hikers in search of authenticity. If the offer is particularly dense in mountainous regions – from the Alps to the Massif Central, via the Pyrenees – it is also deployed in other emblematic territories such as the Valley, and Hauts-de- .

FNAR members undertake to respect the “Donkeys and Hiking” quality charter, thus ensuring the health and well-being of their four-legged companions. They design circuits carefully adapted to the donkey and the hiker, for an experience in harmony with nature.

With its 64 members spread across France, the FNAR highlights outdoor tourism, encouraging unique escapades in preserved landscapes and a deep respect between man and animal.
