Agriculture, social assistance, immigration… What to remember from Jordan Bardella's speech in Tonneins

At a meeting this Sunday in Tonneins (Lot-et-Garonne), the president of the RN, Jordan Bardella, spoke of the agricultural crisis in , the increase in insecurity and that of immigration or even the fact of favoring payment social assistance to the French rather than to immigrants.

A clear roadmap for the 2026 municipal elections. Jordan Bardella, the president of the RN, launched his party's permanent campaign this Sunday, with a view to potential early legislative elections and then the 2026 municipal elections, via a meeting organized in Tonneins ( Lot-et-Garonne).

On this occasion, he spoke at length about themes dear to his political party, such as immigration or purchasing power, but also about specific subjects linked to the agricultural crisis in France or the “censorship” surrounding, according to him, his party and the release of his book “What I’m looking for” this Saturday.

“The vital prognosis of French agriculture is engaged”

After a meeting with local farmers in the morning, Jordan Bardella spoke about the agricultural crisis in France, referring in particular to the free trade agreement with Mercosur as “one of the greatest threats that has ever weighed on the 'French agriculture'.

“We are fighting every day in the European Parliament the signing of this free trade agreement (…) The consequences would be dramatic for employment, for the health of consumers, for the food independence of France, as much as for the ecology. The vital prognosis of French agriculture is in jeopardy,” affirmed the leader of the National Rally.

Jordan Bardella highlights “government tax injustice”

Jordan Bardella spoke of “the fiscal injustice of the government, which wishes to tax electricity even more and increase work, which would be an impassable red line for us”.

“Our vision is clear, to return the fruits of their work to the French. We are the only ones to talk about what they have all forgotten: the France of work. That is to say, allowing French people who work to live decently, not from public aid, but simply from their efforts and their work,” said the man who succeeded Marine Le Pen at the head. of the RN.

On this subject, Jordan Bardella recalled a line of conduct hammered out for several decades by his political party.

“We have always asked that family allowances only finance the French birth rate and that they be, by definition, reserved for families of French nationality. It was a question of justice and it is now also a budgetary question,” summarized the latter.

“We must cut off the suction pumps of immigration”

In the same vein, Jordan Bardella also took as an example state medical aid, which the RN wishes to eliminate in order to save money in these times of economic crisis in France.

“We must tackle poor state spending and cut off the suction pumps of immigration. We have always proposed abolishing State medical aid (AME) which offers free care to foreigners in an irregular situation (…) It is unacceptable to offer free care to foreigners in an irregular situation who remain against the will of the French people,” summarized the 29-year-old politician.

The president of the National Rally has also taken up one of his party's doctrines by making a direct link between the increase in immigration and that of insecurity in France.

“Since when should France be a welcoming land for foreign delinquents and criminals? Since when must France be a land of welcome to those who hate it, who attack our people and who violate our law and our hospitality? (…) The RN vote is the one and only vote to regain control of immigration policy, the only vote to fight against insecurity and the only vote to put an end to the laxity of justice,” assured this last.

“Left sectarianism” at the origin of the “censorship” targeting the RN

“We encountered some slight problems in organizing this meeting. This problem is called left sectarianism (…) For this left brought to the National Assembly by the forces of the New Popular Front, freedom of expression and democracy exist as long as you agree with them, recalled Jordan Bardella in the preamble to his speech.

The latter thus directly targeted Joël Hocquelet, the PS mayor of Marmande, who had refused at the end of September to rent a municipal hall in order to host the RN national meeting. The RN therefore decided to file a complaint against the municipality, arguing an “attack on freedom of assembly”.

Jordan Bardella also directly attacked the subsidiary of SNCF and RATP called “Mediatransports” which refused to broadcast the advertising campaign surrounding his book in French stations. On this subject, the publisher of the work, Fayard, announced on Saturday a legal action against this railway advertising agency.

“This is the book the far-left unions don't want you to read. This is the book that they wanted to censor and that they partially succeeded in censoring, which says a lot about the general cowardice that reigns in France and the attacks on freedom of expression,” assured Jordan. Bardella during the meeting.

“Shame on these censors who cannot support any point of view different from theirs and who would like to silence millions and millions of French patriots,” concluded the president of the RN.
