Almost two years after its opening, this nautical center in Seine-et- is full

Certainly, it did not fall into the water. Opened in December 2022, the -Vallée de la Marne Intercommunal Aquatic Center in Champs-sur-Marne seems to have found its audience, and to be a success.

Increasing attendance, new activities, projects… the center takes stock of its development.

An offer that appeals

Inside the buildings, we find jumbled together a wellness area consisting in particular of spa et hammambut also a fitness areaand, of course, basinsone of which is located outside.

A very broad offering, which seems to have found its audience, almost two years after its opening. “We are reaching a good pace, we see that users are coming back. Last May, we had 1,800 subscribers; at the end of October, there are 2 300 : the service suits them,” says Cédric Baroni, director of the Paris-Vallée de la Marne intercommunal aquatic center operated by the company Vert marine.

As proof, he says, some of them even come directly from Paris to take advantage of the aquatic center's offer, even if, obviously, a good part of the subscribers come from the surrounding area.

Alongside them, we find an occasional clientele, just as numerous. “For example, during the day of August 12, we had 3,500 people. We had good flow management. Overall, we had very good attendance over the summer, but everything went well,” he admits.

What can make the difference? THE wide opening hourswith three morning shows, opening at 7 a.m., and three night shows, closing at 10 p.m., each week, in particular.

More than 350,000 visitors expected

In 2024, the Paris-Vallée de la Marne intercommunal aquatic center in Champs-sur-Marne should reach an attendance of more than 350,000 annual visitors. A figure up compared to 2023, when between 200,000 and 250,000 visitors were recorded.

Events and projects

To continue this good momentum, Cédric Baroni has a flood of ideas to implement. So, each month has its share of events. In October, the focus was on the fight against breast cancer, and, more lightly, on Halloween and sponsorships, while November will be placed under the sign of well-being.

Very soon, it is planned tofocus the offer on families. “This would be in addition to what already exists, such as baby swimmers, or the aquatic garden. It would be a question of putting modules intended for children in the activity pool, so that they can have fun there,” he predicts.
