An afternoon of hardship and uncertainty awaits users of the rail network in Paris and Évreux. Rail traffic has been severely disrupted on the Paris-Cherbourg line since noon today Friday November 8 2024 due to an obstacle on the track between Bueil and Évreux.

“It was a train, without a passenger, which hit an obstacle at the exit of a tunnel in Martainville shortly before noon,” indicates the SNCF communications department, cited by our colleagues from Ouest-France.

Search for alternatives

“Traffic is interrupted until the end of service, we invite travelers to postpone their trip. Exchange and refund conditions have been relaxed for trains. », specifies, on the social network X, the SNCF.

Several trains (3339, 3379, 3313, 851007) have already been canceled and delays are, at a minimum, to be expected for the others.

Overwhelmed with questions, SNCF services explained, at 2 p.m., that “a search for coaches is underway” to offer an alternative to travelers.
