The rose garden The paths of the rose welcomes the Autumn Rose Festival of November 9 to 11, 2024 in Doué-en-Anjou (Maine-et-Loire). This traditional event, which will mark the last highlight of the season, will present the largest rose market in Maine-et-Loirewith more than 800 bare root varietiesas well as pruning classes led by an experienced rose grower.

Hundreds of visitors expected

Over three days, the hundreds of expected visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in tastings of artisanal rose productsto discover gift ideas for Christmas, and to relax in the tea room in the 4 hectares of this English garden.

Every day, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., rose bush pruning classes will be led by Jean-Pierre Dittière, rose grower with 30 years of experience. These one-hour group lessons (price: €10 per person) will allow participants to directly observe pruning techniques in the rose garden. Jean-Pierre will explain the fundamental principles of pruning, detailing the methods adapted to the different varieties of rose bushes and the ideal periods to intervene.

After welcoming more than 20,000 visitors since the start of the seasonLes chemins de la rose, whose garden will close to the public on November 30, are preparing a program rich in activities for 2025.
