However, additional staff have been recruited in 2023 with 15 new positions in Rouen. Around thirty police officers were also recruited in 2022.

In the area of ​​security, the municipality highlights several aspects of its policy:

  • Growth in the number of municipal police officers, from 54 agents in 2020 to 65 today.
  • Creation of a municipal police night brigade.
  • Creation of a dog crew.
  • Deployment of the video protection system, going from 42 cameras in the city (not including those in the public transport network) in 2020 to 113 today.
  • Video-verbalization: implementation from the beginning of 2025.
