The first volunteer in the municipal civic action system Citizen Boost, Angelina Rodrigues has just won a work-study contract at the town hall of Magny-en-Vexin (Val-d'Oise).
The second edition of the operation is launched. Four Magnytois are already candidates.
It's a commitment that she was the only one to make in 2023, since then she has been in work-study training in the town hall's communications department.
Angelina Rodrigues, 19, is perfecting her communications skills between the Jeanne-Hachette high school in Beauvais (Oise) and the town hall of Magny-en-Vexin where she is supervised by her tutor Morgane Rosa, efficient manager of the communications department.
Without its passage through the device Citizen helping handshe would never have grasped the City's proposal.
Investment
Launched in 2023, it allows young people to take part in the organization and running of events in exchange for financial assistance of up to €350 (1 hour = €10 within a limit of 35 hours). An initiative from the municipality of Luc Puech d'Alissac, mayor (Lr).
“The idea is to encourage young people to get involved in local action,” explains Laëtitia Nguyen, municipal councilor, youth delegate.
Providing the opportunity to acquire new skills and experience is the objective proposed by the town hall.
My time at town hall allowed me to develop a relational network.
Distributing packages to seniors, participating in the fall banquet, supervising the July 14 festivities, supervising the Christmas ice rink and various other events and activities, such is the involvement required of young volunteers.
Experience
That's what Angelina did. “The Citizen Help is a way to get involved in society,” says Angelina. My time at town hall allowed me to develop a relational network. I was thus able to secure an internship in communications at the Adventure Land park, a new experience in my learning journey,” explains the first local volunteer, who plans to continue her studies at the University of Cergy-Pontoise.
While the second recruitment campaign is underway, the profile of the candidates sought is to be between 16 and 22 years old and to be in a life path that requires financial assistance.
The town hall offers to contribute in exchange for services rendered to the community.
Application files for the Citizen Help must be submitted before November 18, to Cédric at Espace Marianne, or by email: [email protected]
