Hello everyone, we meet again for today’s PMU forecast with a loser and a solid basis for your reduced field bets. It is the Prix Le Parisien (Prix des Coteaux de la Seine) which will support the stakes of the Quinté on this Sunday, June 30, 2024. It is a flat race, with 53,000 euros in allocations, which will take place on the Saint-Cloud racecourse (Meeting No. 1 – Race No. 3). This first divided handicap event (+17.5) brought together 16 starters who will compete around 3:15 p.m. on the left-hand rope course of the 1,400 meters of the grass track (good soft ground, penetrometer measured at 3.3).
FT’s favorite ❤️
Unlucky in the last place, Royal Shake (5) seems quite capable of taking an active part in the arrival of this Tiercé Quarté Quinté+. This horse trained by Mikel Delzangles has, in fact, just had bad luck in the Quinté of 06/06/24, the Prix de l’Ile de la Cité at ParisLongchamp. That day, he finished with gas behind the leading horses because Stéphane Pasquier was never able to launch him in the final straight. Previously, he had shown a return to form during the Quinté of 28/04/24, the Prix de Chevilly at ParisLongchamp. He is therefore on the right track. On Sunday, he will start with a rather favorable rail number and the long straight of the Saint-Cloud racecourse should logically allow him to fight for victory. We will therefore follow his performance with real interest.
The solid Quinté base
A true metronome, Opalus Road (4) seems to constitute a solid base among all the starters of this Quinté+. This horse trained by the skillful Jean-Marie Béguigné has, in fact, been aligning good results in this category for several months. He has just taken 3rd place in the Quinté of 04/06/24, the Summer Handicap in Saint Cloud. His aptitude for the course is therefore largely proven. On Sunday, he will be ridden again by Théo Bachelot, a jockey who knows him perfectly. Very well placed in the starting boxes (stall n°3), he should logically succeed in securing one of the first five places at the finish of this tiercé. Punters who like to play in a reduced field will therefore be able to rely on his candidacy without taking too many risks.
The best PMU loser of the day
Performing well on this course, Houley Quartz (10) seems to be the right choice for this Quinté. On this 1,400 meter Saint-Cloud route, this protégé of Yann Barberot had, in fact, won the Quinté of October 5, the Prix de Versailles. That day, he was ahead of Alva, a mare who had just finished in 3rd place in a big handicap at Saint-Cloud (Prix Trillion). The line is therefore favorable. Lowered by a pound by the handicapper and very well placed in the boxes this time (stall no. 4) while being fitted with Australian blinkers, he could post a big rating at the finish of this race.
The underdog poker move of the day
Alva (12) has a good burst of final speed but, like all waiters, she needs a rhythmic race and a clear course of racing to give her full potential. If this is the case, she could play spoilsport when this quinté arrives. Tourists looking for a speculative outsider or a poker move may therefore be interested in his candidacy.
Other essential horses to follow
Whispering Dream (1) et Times Boulevard (15) have just matched in the benchmark race. Judged on this, they have their place in this pmu eight-horse prognosis.
Empathic (2) has already stood out in the big handicaps with a value of 42.5. Associated with Christophe Soumillon, a jockey who had the choice of rides, he could confuse the cards.
Author of a correct entry, Leoparduccio (11) will set off with the confidence of Corine Barande Barbe this Sunday. Although less well placed on the value scale than in the past, it could complete the winning combination.
Last minute in case of non-starter
Peaceful Sea (9) was unlucky last time against only females but, this time, she will have males on her way. Under these conditions, whether or not to retain it in a selection will above all be a matter of impression. However, don’t hesitate to slip it onto your game ticket as an additional horse.

PMU bets available on this race
There are 7 horse racing bets on this main race with a strategy and level of difficulty that vary depending on the number of winning numbers to find: the single game, the couple, the multi, the 2sur4, the tiercé, the quarté and the quinté+. Be careful, if you play on the internet, you will find the same games on the PMU website with identical rules but they will have a slightly different name: e.simple, e.couple, e.multi, e.2sur4, e.tiercé, e-quarté, e.quinté+. On the other hand, the winnings will not be the same. Indeed, since December 2015, the PMU has been obliged to separate its stake pools. Bettors playing online (pmu.fr) therefore benefit from different reports from those playing at PMU points of sale (Pari Mutuel Urbain), namely pmu fdj bars-tabac-presses and racecourses.
How much will your game cost at PMU?
It is important to set a budget that you do not exceed when betting on horse racing. You must therefore have a good strategy and know the amount of your combination well, otherwise you risk exceeding the amount you had set for yourself. When you play in a single formula, it is very simple to calculate the price of your ticket because you just need to have in mind the basic stake of your horse racing bet. On the other hand, things get complicated if you want to play in a combined formula. Find below the prices of your games in a combined formula (from 3 to 9 horses associated). The amounts are indicated according to the basic stake for each horse racing bet.

About the author, Anthony Prioux
Born in Saint-Nazaire in Loire-Atlantique (44), a department which has many racetracks, I have been passionate about horse racing since adolescence. I actually became interested in horse racing when I was in high school. This passion for horse racing never left me and, over the years, I acquired real expertise in this field. It was therefore quite natural that in 2010, I began to offer my PMU predictions on the internet. I then created the site Fréquence Turf in 2013. Every day, I offer my free analysis of the Quinté+ race and my free prediction in eight horses with a loser at high odds and a solid basis for your bets on the field reduced. It is also possible to receive my predictions for trotting races by email by subscribing to Horse of the Day.
