Haute-Savoie is an industrial territory, with economic dynamism supported by the importance of sectors such as bar turning, precision mechanics, “consumer” products and even the agri-food industry. With more than 5,300 industrial establishments, our department ranks 4th regionally (10% of establishments according to INSEE) behind Isère, Loire and Drôme. In 2024, it will have nearly 47,000 jobs in industry, which represents more than 20% of total employment in Haute-Savoie. However, this vitality is tested by multiple challenges.

Faced with these challenges, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haute-Savoie is deploying the regional Business Performance Consulting (CPE) program to support manufacturers in their development and improve their competitiveness.
The major challenges for manufacturers in Haute-Savoie
Industrialists in Haute-Savoie must address major challenges, such as the lack of qualified labor, accentuated by competition from Switzerland and the high cost of living, which slows down their development and complicates essential recruitment for stay competitive. At the same time, the transformation of the automotive sector is impacting certain local industries such as bar turning, pushing companies to diversify into other markets. Furthermore, the environmental transition requires significant investments that the available aid does not fully cover, limiting the ability of companies to innovate while respecting new ecological standards. In this context, the relocation of the supply chain appears to be a key strategy to mitigate the effects of recent crises, both health and geopolitical.

To help manufacturers overcome these challenges, the CCI Haute-Savoie is deploying the Business Performance Consulting (CPE) system, 70% financed by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region. This program offers tailor-made strategic support, combining individual advice and collective training. It allows businesses to strengthen their competitiveness by meeting essential needs.
