An 18-year-old young man was shot dead in Valence, capital of Drôme, Friday afternoon 1is November, firefighters told Agence France-Presse. “Seriously injured by bullets on the public highway, he was in cardiac arrest when help arrived” and he was pronounced dead shortly after, emergency services said.
The events took place shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the Polygone district, near the city center of Valence, and “the scene was frozen for the purposes of the investigation”.
According to a police source, the death could be linked to a shooting linked to drug trafficking, which occurred the previous night in front of a nightclub in Saint-Péray (Ardèche), west of Valence, which left three people injured by bullets, including a 22-year-old young man seriously injured in the head.
