320 new cars are being delivered to Lot home help carers. Every year, they travel 4 million kilometers in the department alone.
New company cars have arrived for Lot Aide à Domicile’s care workers.
Because mobility is a real issue in our rural areas, the local public company “Lot Aide à Domicile” is renewing its automobile fleet. 320 new vehicles are being delivered.
The Local Mixed Economy Company (SEML) received this month the first examples of the new cars for home helpers who travel daily along the 13,500 kilometers of roads in the Lot to allow everyone to live at home, as close as possible to its landmarks and habits.
“To meet its solidarity commitment to providing support to all Lotois, regardless of their place of residence, Lot Aide à Domicile has invested since 2020 in a fleet of 320 company vehicles; the largest in France. With a low density of 33 inhabitants per square kilometer, travel in the department is important for Lot Aide à Domicile staff”, note the teams in a press release.
Each year, nearly 4 million kilometers are traveled to intervene with 5,000 residents of Lot and in the 313 municipalities of the department.
This system offers a real advantage to home helpers who can thus have a new vehicle equipped with the latest technologies for their professional journeys but also for their personal journeys and thus allow them to access a complete mobility offer including the implementation provision of a vehicle, its insurance, its routine maintenance and the renewal of tires.
Lot Home Help, strong in its values in the service of the general interest, is building a real Human Resources policy in the service of territorial solidarity.
Each home helper is thus offered a company vehicle upon integration, a training offer rich in more than 80 sessions on 32 different themes, convivial places to (re)rest between two interventions, a smartphone, numerous advantages with the CSE (reduction on different brands),…
Since the start of the year, each month, Lot Aide à Domicile provides more than 55,000 hours of services throughout the department.
