This wave surprised everyone, Rochebonne slipway, in Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine), Saturday October 19, 2024. For this last evening of high tides in October 2024, the crowd was there to admire the show.

Perfect weather

Ideal weather for seeing the sea with the absence of wind and rain. The long swell was however very present with spaced waves, unlike a storm, where the waves strike continuously.

“This one is huge”

Suddenly, the high seas passed 3 or 4 minutes ago. “This one is huge,” comments Hugo Besnier. A powerful wave enters the hold of Rochebonne and several spectators fall by its force.
