A 39-year-old man was placed in pre-trial detention Wednesday October 9, 2024 while awaiting his trial for theft and damage “by dangerous means” in Montoir-de-Bretagne (-Atlantique).

This case takes place in two stages, with the same victim.

Sunday July 14, 2024this resident of Montoir was hospitalized after suffering violence.

In particular, he was hit with brass knuckles.

This man is accused by the defendant and his family of being guilty of sexual assault on their nine-year-old daughter.

The thirty-year-old is not blamed for the violence, but for the burglary of the victim’s home as well as the damage to his car: broken windows and flat tires.

€15,000 in cash stolen?

A bank card, a telephone and €15,000 in cash were allegedly stolen.

Second act on the night of Sunday September 29, 2024.

This time, it was the door of the victim’s house that was set on fire, after being doused with gasoline.

Named in particular by witnesses, the defendant contests:

“I deny all the accusations made against me,” said this construction company manager at the end of his presentation in immediate appearance before the Saint-Nazaire criminal court.

“A prosecution case”

A referral was requested by his lawyer Me Denis Lambert.

“A poorly started, poorly put together, incriminating case,” he denounces, demanding that the defendant’s two employees, present with him on the evening of the fire, be heard again, with an interpreter “since they are speaking very bad French.

The judges rejected this request for additional information and sent the trial back to Wednesday November 13, 2024.
