Laurent Marie, the founder ofOncle Scott’shas just opened, this Thursday, October 10, 2024, a new restaurantt and Normandiethe 11th.

The brand has just moved to Vire, in Calvados.

“I’ve been on the case for a year. I was looking to franchise it, but that didn’t come to fruition,” explains Laurent Marie, who is also the manager of the Virois restaurant.

A whiskey cellar created

HAS turnthe chosen theme is “Jack Daniel’s”, named after Tennessee whiskey. It was by visiting the distillery in this American state that Laurent Marie had the idea of ​​using it as a theme for his Viroise address.

This is also the reason why, a « Whisky Store » is also created. “ 500 whiskey references and some spirits are offered.”

French-American cuisine

The restaurant concept remains the same. “French-American cuisine, simple, very original, generous and homemade as much as possible.” The card is renewed every 6 months and American specialties appear on a regular basis.

12 employees were recruited for this opening in Vire. The restaurant has 120 places. It is open 7 days a week, noon and evening.

With turnthis is the 18th restaurant of the brand to open in France (the first opened in Cherbourg 26 years ago). Three other opening projects are underway for thefounder of Uncle Scott’s.
