Senegal national team: The Pape Bouna Thiaw tandem

After the departure of Aliou Cissé, the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) chose Pape Bouna Thiaw, first assistant and second assistant Teddy Pellerin to coordinate the Senegal national team.

“The selection will be led, on an interim basis, by the first Deputy Pape Bouna Thiaw and the second Deputy Teddy Pellerin under the coordination and supervision of the National Technical Director, Mayacine Mar,” announces the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) on its website. .

As a reminder, last June, changes were made in the technical staff of the A selection. Pape Bouna Thiaw became assistant number 1 to Aliou Cissé and Teddy Pellerin who was physical trainer moved to assistant number 2. These two men who had to collaborate with Cissé will lead the den for the duration which will also be determined by the FSF .

Senegal will play a double match against Malawi, on October 11 and 15 counting for the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).

The first meeting will take place on October 11, 2024 at 7 p.m. GMT at the Stade Abdoulaye Wade. Four days later, on October 15, 2024, Senegal will travel to Malawi, at the Bingu National Stadium.
