VIDEO – Cap Corse: the flooded roadway in the Pietranera-Grisgione sector

Orange alert in Haute-Corse is active this Wednesday, September 18 for the phenomena “storms” and “rain-flooding”. In the morning, the Corsican Railways have announced disruptions on the peri-urban network, between Bastia and CasamozzaTraffic is difficult in Pietranera with a flooded road, the Haute-Corse firefighters reported.

This night and this morning, Cortenais, Castagniccia, Nebbiu, and the outskirts of Bastia, concentrated beautiful thunderstorms. In detail, 73 mm of precipitation was recorded in L’Île-Rousse, 30 mm in Calvi, 50 mm in Bastia and between 5 and 20 mm on the eastern plain, particularly in the south of Aleria.

The alert must be lifted at 9 p.m. in Haute-Corse. South Corsica is placed on “yellow” alert.
