Oumar N., suspected of a barbaric rape of a 29-year-old young woman in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, was known for crimes against property and violence. Sexual assault proceedings against his 12-year-old sister are currently under investigation.
At only 18 years old, the man suspected of raping a 29-year-old barbaric woman was already known to justice. Oumar N. has already been convicted five times by the judge and juvenile court for offenses against property and violence.
The man already has 17 entries in the criminal record processing file for acts of theft, concealment of theft, incestuous sexual assault and rebellion.
According to Le Figaro, in 2019, a procedure for the rape of a minor initiated was dismissed by the prosecution in 2020 on the grounds that the offense was not sufficiently characterized. These facts allegedly took place in a socio-educational medical boarding school. Another sexual assault proceeding against her 12-year-old sister is currently under investigation.
It is not yet possible at this stage to determine whether these facts have been established. For the time being, Oumar N. has been indicted, this Friday, August 11, for rape accompanied by torture and acts of barbarism.
The 18-year-old man was remanded in custody and a judicial investigation was opened by the Coutances prosecutor’s office.
