In Sables-d'Olonne in Vendée, the waves are so strong that the Vendée Globe boats, which were due to arrive today, had to be diverted to La Rochelle as a result of storm Herminia. Violent winds blew across France, reaching up to 190 km/h in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and 168 km/h in Chamonix. This new depression comes the day after another storm.
