The bobsledders engage at varying speeds on the single bend of the bobsled track in Romont. They can hear the music emanating from the “turn bar”, from where parents leaning on the barriers film their children turning left. A few meters from the finish, the most daring try a jump before landing on the party square. There, stands offer food and drinks, as well as tables where seniors eat. “I’ve done three runs and I think I can do six more,” proudly announces a child in a yellow jacket, without being able to hide his shortness of breath. Going around the square, the families, the majority of whom are present, must climb 120 steps to get back on the trail. This is the circuit imagined by the members of the Ça bob Romont association on Saturday.
