“This method does not work”
-For a long time, affected farmers stayed at home with “Their shame, their guilt” But the collective wishes to change the situation by speaking of tuberculosis to residents of the sector. “Today, for a case, we slaughter our herd. We all live with a sword of damocles above the head, it is no longer possible ”continues Jocelyn Bertrand.
With this meeting to which local policies, senators and deputies of the five Norman departments have been invited, farmers hope for a new method in the years to come. “In any case, this method does not work. It has been ten years that we have been annoyed by tuberculosis and despite this technique, it is still there ”, Pesse Christophe Davy, breeder in Athis-Val-de-Rouvre (Orne).
