Benjamin Netanyahu and Emmanuel Macron spoke on the phone this Sunday, and the Israeli Prime Minister claims to have obtained a guarantee from the French president regarding the Air Show.

The Israeli Prime Minister said on Sunday that he had received assurances from the French president that Israeli companies would be allowed at the 55th Le Bourget Air Show in June, the sector's global meeting, according to his office.

Benjamin Netanyahu and Emmanuel Macron spoke on the phone on Sunday, and the latter “promised (…) that Israeli companies could participate”said the press release.

The text specifies that the two men also “discussed various topics, including the latest developments in Lebanon and Gaza”without further details.

The Élysée did not immediately communicate on this conversation.

A decision of the Commercial Court, confirmed on appeal, invalidated this ban.

In October, the organizers of the Euronaval exhibition were once again ruled against by the courts and had to give up banning certain Israeli companies from exhibiting weapons and military equipment.

The organizers had indicated that they were acting at the request of the French government.

The French executive had specified that Israeli companies were welcome, but without being able to present offensive weapons used in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
