“I thank you for the efforts you make on a daily basis, particularly to advance your grade, to specialize or simply to train. The time spent training to progress is the only way to remain effective in intervention. »
Even fewer interventions
The head of the center presented his team, which currently consists of 15 professional firefighters et 40 volunteers. He took stock of the past year's operations.
Between January 1 and December 21, 2024, firefighters carried out 1 613 sorties distributed as follows: 165 fires, 54 various operations, 1,254 personal rescues and 140 traffic accidents.
“Beyond operational activity, the emergency center was also positioned and mobilized to provide several extra-departmental reinforcements. »
For the second consecutive year, the CIS des Andelys recorded a drop in activity, 1,729 outings in 2023 and 1,841 in 2022.
-On the recruitment side, the station welcomed nine new volunteer firefighters, including two from the Young Firefighters (JSP) and four professional firefighters to replace those who left for transfer.
Conversely, two non-commissioned officers left for transfer. “The objective has therefore been achieved for 2024 and will be continued for the years to come,” declared senior lieutenant Trajin before announcing: “On January 1, we will welcome three new recruits from the October tests and one volunteer firefighter non-commissioned officer coming to us from SDIS 95.”
The center will recruit JSPs
Concerning the Young Firefighters section, eight young people will end their four-year cycle with the National Certificate for Young Firefighters in April. At the end, they will join the Andelys or neighbors’ rescue center.
“A recruitment campaign for the start of the September school year will be set up in 2025. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the JSPs, facilitators, trainers and parents for their daily commitment. »

Exceptional year in Eure
Several challenges will be faced in 2025, starting with the organization of the departmental cross country final. It will take place on Sunday February 2 in the town of Bouafles. It will also be necessary to recruit new JSPs and continue the commitment to the training services of the SDIS and the Group.
The controller general Emmanuel Ducouret succeeded him behind the desk.
“The year 2024 was exceptional with 46,000 interventions in Eure, which will make it the 2nd highest year in a decade. We were involved in the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the passage of the flame, which mobilized almost 400 firefighters, the Olympic Games. »
Faced with the intensification of operational activity (+ 2% in 2024), Frédéric Duché mentioned the ambitious firefighting plan voted by the departmental majority.
“This plan aims to strengthen the workforce and modernize infrastructure and equipment. For the CIS of Andelys, this resulted in the arrival of a new ton pump van in 2024 before the arrival in a few weeks of a specialized boat for interventions on the river. »
As mayor, he highlighted the excellent collaboration with the rescue center. “Your constant involvement, particularly during significant events in our region, is resounding proof of your professionalism and your spirit of mutual aid. »
