In Ghyvelde on January 26, it's the return of “the gang”, the traditional carnival parade. With a novelty: for the first time, a “Mayor’s Chapel” (festive drink) will be organized in the parking lot located behind the Ghyvelde town hall from 10 a.m. The highlight of the day will be the big carnival band, with its drum Major Cô Genière IV and its musicians at the helm. Departure at 3 p.m. from the R. Haesebaert village hall. The parade will end with the throwing of herrings from the top of the town hall balcony.
