Dakar, Jan 24 (APS) – Two tempting matches are on the menu for Ligue 1 Football this weekend, including the clash between Teungueth FC and Jaraaf on Saturday, a late match counting for the 10th day of the Football League .
The Dakar suburb derby, between Pikine and Guédiawaye FC, is the other late match scheduled this weekend. It counted for the 11th day of the championship.
Teungueth FC, which has a dismal record at the start of the season, with 3 victories, 3 defeats and 5 draws, will host Jaraaf Dakar on Saturday at the Ngalandou Diouf stadium, with the ambition of collecting points to build a little more in the ranking.
The Rufisque club, defending champion, currently occupies 8th place in the ranking with 14 points, far behind the leader, US Gorée, which has 27 points.
TFC will try to revive themselves against Jaraaf who narrowly missed qualifying for the CAF quarter-finals. The Medina team will be keen to bounce back to get closer to the leader by winning their late matches in the championship.
For the suburban derby, a late match of the 11th day, AS Pikine, located in the red zone of the ranking with 2 victories, 4 defeats and 5 draws, will have a hard time facing its neighbor, Guédiawaye FC, who will seek to maintain its good momentum.
