The Briton Kim Jones presented, Friday, January 24, in Paris, during Fashion Week, the new Dior Homme collection, a refined line with very structured silhouettes, all in a minimalist setting installed at Military School.
A new collection for which the Creator was inspired by the Collection L line H of Christian Dior from the fall-winter 1954-1955, with a silhouette modeled on the two parallels of the letter H and which standardized the shoulders, the size and hips in a rectangular structure. “It is the idea of a very elegant, sleek and graphic Dior, which really refers to the origins of the house”explained Kim Jones during a meeting with the press the day before the parade.
The silhouettes, sometimes hidden from a ribbon with a large knot on the side, are both very structured, but simple. The tailors' jackets make the long bust, based well on the hips, placed on pants that logically register in continuity.
Playing with volumes, from adjusted to the flared, Kim Jones also offers coats with large and belted shapes such as kimonos, rounded leather jackets, satin blouses or sweaters that seem of a jacket.
Some coats even turn into large skirts. All in an essentially monochrome palette: immaculate white, ivory, pastel pink, ocher and black. Some coats and jackets are decorated with rhinestones on the shoulders, as if to recall the rain.
As often in Dior Homme, you also have to take a close interest in shoes. This season, town shoes and leather boots have a knotted satin tip. “But everything is done in a very graphic way rather than romantic”specifies Kim Jones.
An event that has attracted, once is not custom, its share of stars, including actor Robert Pattinson, brand muse, model Kate Moss, great friend of the Creator, Louis Garrel, DJ Snake or L 'Actor Raphaël Queard.
