France Work (ex-Pôle Emploi) lists 25,430 hires in the second quarter of 2024. The three sectors that recruited the most in our department during this period are human health and social action (6.710), arts, shows and Recreational activities (4,860) and administrative and support service activities (2,620). These hires mainly concern contracts of less than a month (69 %), then permanent contracts (15 %), fixed -term contracts from one to six months (12 %). CDDs of more than six months being marginal (3.5 %).
The number of job offers identified (46,600) is very much higher than that of job seekers (24,620). The jobs sought by job seekers do not concern the same sectors as the needs expressed by recruiters. While among the former the employment which brings together the most applicants turns out to be the cleaning of premises (970), the most demanding sector in the latter is social action without accommodation (7 %) and the profession most in Long-distance carrier's transportation of labor driving (4 %).
