“Help without being cable”. Sunday, February 2, in Quitrebeuf (Eure), the National Union of Associations of Rescuers and Rescuers (UNASS) Seine Eure offers a whole new training intended for family carers.

It concerns any person who accompanies and helps, regularly and often unpaid, A loved one in a situation of dependence or loss of autonomy Due to a handicap, illness or aging. This loved one can be a parent, a spouse, a child, or even a friend.

“Among home aid, there are 10 % of professionals who are damaged each year in the context of their work,” said Bruno Conchis, the president of UNASS Seine Eure. “For them, there are training funds funded by employers. But For individuals, there is nothing And they often find themselves alone in the face of difficult situations.

And we have relatives who, wanting to help, will be damaged themselves. It is for this reason that Unass has developed, at the national level, 7 -hour trainingoffered at a rate of 50 euros for the first session.

Burn-out must also be avoided.

He quotes for example verbal guidance, so that the person mobilizes his potentialallowing to limit the efforts of the caregiver. “It cannot be careful to compensate for everything. The helper must also try to outdo himself to overcome his handicap. »»
