And we have relatives who, wanting to help, will be damaged themselves. It is for this reason that Unass has developed, at the national level, 7 -hour trainingoffered at a rate of 50 euros for the first session.

Burn-out must also be avoided.

This includes a time of exchange between the different participants, which must allow an “awareness that they must preserve themselves”. “We must also avoid burnout, because often the caregiver will Too much to compensate for the handicap his loved one, ”says Bruno Conchis, who was himself a helping with his 87-year-old mother during the Cavid period. “It was difficult for me, especially psychologically,” he says.

The gestures that save

Workshops in small groups will learn to help a person getting up with a chair, straightening up in a bed and walking.
