In the premises of the UFC-Que-Choisir consumer association, twenty-two dispute advisors, spread over branches located in Limoges, Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, Bellac and Saint-Junien, have handled sixteen cases since on May 14, 2024 to support owners of Citroën cars with defective airbags, then recalled throughout the southern part of France.
“It is time to compensate the people concerned”, reacts today Xavier Duboeuf, litigation advisor at UFC-Que-Choisir 87, while the national association officially announced on its website, Wednesday January 22, its filing of complaint against the manufacturer Stellantis for deceptive commercial practices, aggravated deception and deliberate endangering of the lives of others (fifteen deaths following accidents caused by the explosion of airbags since 2016 in France).

The association also calls for the creation of a parliamentary commission of inquiry and calls on the Automobiles Citroën company to “immediately compensate the victim owners for all damages linked to the forced immobilization of their vehicle. “
