Waste collection is modernized in the territory of Provence Alpes Agglomeration. More than 300 complete collection points have been deployed since December. They allow the inhabitants of the 46 municipalities of the agglomeration to deposit all everyday waste in one and the same place: household waste, columns for paper, glass or cards.
« The last rolling bins still in use in certain municipalities will be gradually withdrawn in the coming weeks ” underlines Paa. The community which specifies that this system should make it possible to promote the sorting of waste and to reduce the quantity of collected household waste.
According to PAA, the results are ” promising In the first sectors that have been equipped. In Digne les Bains, the sorting of packaging increased by 76%. The amount of household waste collected decreased by 16%.
-Provence Alpes Agglomeration recalls that wild deposits at the foot of the containers can be sanctioned with a fine of up to 1500 euros.
