The Canton will contribute up to one million

The Council of State will grant cantonal subsidies of one million francs to support protection measures against flooding from the Gérine to Tinterin. The cost of the second stage of the municipality’s project including, among other things, the replacement of a bridge is estimated at 4,128,264 francs. The Confederation and the canton combined will contribute to the tune of 3,068,311 francs, the State of Friborg indicated this Friday in a press release. The project also aims to improve the natural dynamics of the watercourse and restore the free migration of fish.
