The Cisss of Chaudière-Appalaches abolished 122 positions as part of its effort to reach the budgetary balance on Friday. These losses will not cause any additional closure or breakdown in the region.
Despite the implementation of several measures to reduce its expenses in the last year, the organization has announced that it will have to abolish 109 positions among unionized staff and 13 in managers.
People affected by these abolitions “will be offered another job, on a different quarter of work or in another service,” said the CISSS by press release.
